A leading IT outsourcing and outstaffing company with approximately 100 employees required an automated payroll management system. Their key needs included calculating and processing payroll for employees with various contract types, handling payments in Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH) despite contracts being in the system currency, and accurately allocating labor costs to specific projects based on timesheets.

To address these requirements, Odoo version 17 was implemented, utilizing the Payroll and Accounting modules. The standard Payroll module functionality was significantly enhanced to include multi-currency support and detailed project cost tracking. Key customizations included adding fields for "Wage Currency" and "Exchange rate date," displaying amounts in the contract currency on payslips, introducing a "Project" tab for cost allocation, and ensuring accurate currency conversion logic for payroll processing and accounting records.

The result is a powerful and functional payroll platform within Odoo that effectively manages the client's payroll needs, supports multi-currency transactions, and provides detailed insights into project-related labor expenses.
