If you want to recover from a remote machine, 

- backup the odoo filestore, for the location check this: https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/ir-attachment-location-for-v8-45571

- try to connect your remote postgres to the postgres database files, see this for information about the locations: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.3/static/storage-file-layout.html

I already did the backup of the files, but I'm having problems in the second part. Can you be more explicit of how can I do it?! Sorry for the question but unfortunately I don´t understand that much this...
