For a case study what if I need to show my inventory levels to portal users or users who do not have access to Odoo, how can they keep track of my inventory levels?

This proposal is useful in cases such:

- Customers want to check current stock in a specific warehouse or location

- Suppliers want to see their customer's current stock

- Field technicians can see their spare parts to apply if they do not have a user.

For such case and situations we can use the documents app along the reports app in the inventory module:

1. First select the stock report you wish to follow: for this case we can use the stock location report and group them by locations then unfold to view the details of the products and the available quantities per location.

2. Then we can select the spreadsheet and add the list as a spreadsheet document

3. Afterwards we can name the spreadsheet which contains formulas to link to the list table we just downloaded linked from Odoo, and soon we can also share it

by setting the cells with formulas from Odoo this will create a link between the cell in the report and the excel document.

4. Now we can proceed to share the link so other users can access and view the information directly 

You can freeze the spreadsheet so no one can edit it and use it as public document to view

Note: You can also share important information if you wish such as sales reports, purchase reports, payments follow ups, etc

is there a way to also show product pictures. it would have been useful if we could build a webpage to show only stock status

This is not dynamic indeed, the report is always frozen at a specific date :

Thanks for the entry ! Maybe it changed in version 17.4 but I think the share link is a frozen version and if stocks change, we need to share the link again. It's not dynamic, is it ?
