When I select get rate for Starshipit I get the message below.

Invalid Operation

Error: this delivery method is not available for this order.


Has anyone successfully got this working?

Check the API response in the starshipit account interface (settings > checkout rates > logs)

I have the same issue. 

API response in starshipit is working as it shows it is returning a valid rate, but Odoo shows Error.

This is only for international addresses. If i use a domestic address it is fine.

Any ideas?

Hi,


The Starshipit error in Odoo usually comes from configuration or missing data, not a bug. The carrier setup needs valid API credentials and service codes, while orders must include product weights (and sometimes dimensions) plus complete customer addresses. Delivery methods may also be restricted by zones or weight.


To fix it, check the Starshipit delivery method setup, ensure products and addresses are complete, and test with a simple order. If it still fails, review the technical logs to see the exact API response explaining why the rate was rejected.
