Hello,

We are currently facing an issue in Odoo v18 regarding the Chart of Accounts.

Recently, we renamed several accounts in the Chart of Accounts. However, we have noticed inconsistent behavior across different users:

  • Some users can see the updated account names as expected.
  • Other users still see the old account names, even after refreshing their Odoo app.

Is it related to access rights?

Are you using multi-company and have you renamed is one company and not is other company?

We are using multiple companies, and we made the change in the company a specific company and some people see the change while others don't see the change.

In Odoo v18, the issue where some users continue to see old account names in the Chart of Accounts after updates is typically not caused by access rights, but rather by caching mechanisms. When account names are renamed, the updates are saved in the database, but users who had previously accessed the Chart of Accounts may still have the old values stored in their session or browser cache.

As a solution, affected users should first log out of their Odoo account and log back in, which clears the session cache and forces a fresh load of data from the server. Additionally, restarting the Odoo server can help refresh the system-wide cache and ensure that all users receive the latest data. These steps typically resolve the issue.
