I have encountered an issue with fiscal position account mappings in Odoo. When the "Account on Product" is directly set on a product, the mapping to "Account to Use Instead" works correctly. However, if the account is not set on the product and it uses the account from the product category, the mapping is not triggered. This forces us to redundantly set the same account on each product that is already defined in the product category.
Is there a way to do this through odoo settings, or do I have to customize the logic through costum developing?

I have been struggling with this same issue as well.
This is even worse when we take into consideration that the Stock Input Account and the Stock Output Account cannot be defined at the product level.
Any joy in the meantime?
