On both Mac O/S and Ubuntu changes to my views do not seem to be detected when either using --dev=all or --dev=xml. However python changes are detected. Any suggestions on how to debug?
I did have this issue on Mac OS originally and then it seemed to 'just start working'. However, today it won't work on Mac and in desperation I tried the same with a new install of Ubuntu (Elementary OS 6) and the same issue. I'm all googled out :)
Any help gratefully welcomed.
I have solved the issue after investigating the source code - the xml updates appear to only take effect for ir_ui_view and (I think) ir_rule changes. I was modifying menus when I posted my query.
