after restoring the database, i can't login to the database in openerp v7.0

Question

I backup the database, then restored it in another machine. But i cant login to the user in the same database. When i looked into postgresql table res.users, but no user present there. What was the issue?

How did you do the backup and recovery? Did you use the option from the openERP page, or did you do a manual backup of the database?

What happens if you restore the DB on the original machine, but with another DB name? If you have the same issue, than somehow the backup is incomplete.
