I have made an new EDU database in Odoo and invited my student to work in teh database, but they can't see all apps? How can I fix this?

Hi,

If a user (like a student) can’t see all apps in Odoo, it’s due to access rights and menu visibility settings. Here’s how to fix it:


Check assigned user groups & access rights


Go to Settings → Users & Companies → Users, open the user’s record, and see which groups they belong to. In the Access Rights tab, ensure they have permissions for the apps/modules you want them to see.


Hide/unhide menu items


Each menu item (app icon) in Odoo has a “groups” restriction. If a menu is limited to certain groups, users outside those groups won’t see it. Go to Settings → Technical → User Interface → Menu Items, find the menu, and adjust its Visibility / Groups field.


Once you adjust groups and menu visibility, log in as the student again — the apps should show up.

The problem is that user account related to the student you mentioned doesn't have access right for some apps. It will be solved when you modify user access right for that user by settings>users & companies > users > that std acc > example if the std don't see inventory related app go check access in inventory section under access right tab of that std account, make sure there is no blank access for that field if it was blank change to user or admin. if you need to know details about the way of find this solution you can go check on chatgpt by copying your question paste into it.  Hope my answer help you solve the problem.
