I can no longer save any changes in the settings area, no matter what page Sales, CRM, General Settings, ...

I get the red popup with 

The following fields are invalid:
  • Languages

On those setting pages there are no (visible) fields about Languages.

I have not changed anything that has to do with languages, the only thing i can think of is that the docker container has been upgraded to a more recent version. I currently run Odoo 12.0-20190816 (Community Edition).

Anyone has an idea how to solve this ?

Do you have Multi-company set up? Does one company have a website? Odoo gives an error in this case. E.g. if Company A has a website set up, and Company B does not, trying to save the settings for Company B will result in an error if the Languages field is not set. 

If this is the case for you, try filling out the Languages field in the Website tab before saving the settings.

We have the same problem but only with one company in our multi company setup.

My docker image is odoo:12 so it has only been upgraded within the major release
