I\ really\ need\ to\ inherit\ and\ add\ a\ bit\ of\ code\ and\ to\ inherit\ an\ existing\ method\.
Any\ way\ to\ do\ this\ via\ the\ web\ interface\?

I don't think it's possible to inherit an existing method without a custom module. You might be able to use a cron or an automated action depending on what you want to do. https://odootricks.tips/about/automated-actions/
I knew this much, but was hoping for something else. :)
