Managing/Tracking the Production Stages in MRP

Question

In MRP, I want the manage the stages in Producing the Product. Once Manufacturing order is in 'Production Started' state, i have to track the varios stages in production.

For Example: To manufacture the the Car, we assume to have following stages

1) Assembly

2) Bodywork

3) Painting

4) Stamping etc...

How to manage these stages in Manufacturing. Once the stages are completed it should be added to stock. Can I customize via Project Management module like following workflow:

Yes it is possible to track your production stages. use mrp_opreation module. There is no need to cutomize the project management module.

First define BOM of the manifacturing product,while configuring BOM define routing process of the product.

In routing process add all your stages of manufacturing and add work center.

so now as the MO is confrim system will automatically genrate work order for the same and you can track your production and at the end of your production stock will be added
