Hi
You can use this to add custom icon
<button icon="fa-cogs"/>
to add buttons refer these files font-awsome.css and fontawsome-webfont.svg in /addons/web/static/lib/fontawesome
Also you can add custom icons like this,
<button name="test_button" type="object" icon="/module_name/static/src/img/icon_1.png"/>
