Hi everyone,

I have received an invitation to connect to an Odoo account (free version for one application for now which has been up and running for 3 months, Odoo v17 Cloud). My account was created with Admin privileges, internal user, and as an employee.

I was able to log on their platform, but when I log in, I am stuck on the "My account" page and I can't access the list of applications or the database even though my account was created with an administrator role. Can you please suggest anything I could try to access the DB and application list? Thank you very much for your help.

Look at the end of the URL you see after you login.

/my = access the portal aka "My Account"

/web = access the back end aka "Apps Switcher"

If you change the URL to /web and are unable to see the Apps, then your user was not created as an Internal User but as a Portal User.

Thanks for taking the time to review my question,

I have tried to switch to /web and still was not able to see the Apps.

I also thought my user was created as a Portal user, however I did a screenshare yesterday with the person who created my account. I had him activate the developer mode to double check the user type and I could see I was created with the Internal User type.

I did run a couple of tests and I was able to reproduce this issue when creating a free one App Odoo cloud database with a random gmail account, and then inviting the email for which I have an active paid Odoo subscription.

I would open a ticket with Odoo Support - odoo.com/help - they can do a deep dive troubleshooting exercise.

Thanks Ray, will do

The email that I received an invitation on has an active paid license with Odoo. This seems to create the authentication issue because I have tried inviting any other random email for which I did not experience this issue
