When I install odoo, I cannot select the postgresql database. It detects that it is installed but not. What can I do? I have uninstalled postgresql and restarted the pc. If someone can help me thank you.

Hi,
Please use the following terminal commands:
sudo apt-get install postgresql
sudo su - postgres
createuser --createdb --username postgres --no-createrole --no-superuser --pwprompt odoo17
psql
ALTER USER odoo17 WITH SUPERUSER;
\q
exit
These commands set up a PostgreSQL database and a user named "odoo17" with the necessary permissions for working with Odoo 17. The user's credentials (username and password) will likely be used in the Odoo 17 configuration file to connect to the PostgreSQL database.
