Rustibus is a Norwegian company that manufactures premium deck scalers exclusively for the maritime industry. They produce these deck scalers themselves using materials they purchase directly or receive from their branches in Norway and Singapore. The deck scalers are sold globally.The challenges
Rustibus has a specific production process that required a custom setup in Odoo. They needed to manually create all manufacturing orders themselves instead of having them automatically generated from sales orders. Additionally, they needed the flexibility to change components within a bill of materials for a specific product.
Our solutions
A specific manufacturing process was configured for Rustibus to meet their unique needs. By setting the product route to "Manufacture," manufacturing orders are not created automatically upon sales order confirmation, allowing office staff to create them manually. The ability to change products in the bill of materials is a standard Odoo feature, and we configured a system to address their multi-layered BoM structure.
