A new feature in Odoo 17.2 was introduced that allows the user to generate lot numbers upon the receiving of a product.

1. Once you create your product and create a purchase order.

2. You can go to receipt and click on the Detailed Operations.

3. Then from there you can click on Generate Serials/Lots.

4. You can either generate one lot number for all of the products.

5. Or generate a unique lot number for each product.
