Hi Eric PRIOU,
In Odoo, when you need to purchase multiple services for a single sales order line item, you can achieve this by using the Odoo procurement process along with the purchase module. Here's how you can do it:
Configure Products and Suppliers:
Ensure that each service you want to purchase (insurance service, freight service, port service) is set up as a separate product in Odoo.
Assign the appropriate suppliers to each service product in Odoo.
Create Purchase Orders (POs):
After confirming the sales order, you need to create separate purchase orders for each service.
Navigate to Purchases > Purchase Orders and create a new purchase order for each service supplier.
In each purchase order, add the respective service product and specify the quantity needed.
Link Purchase Orders to Sales Order:
In Odoo, you can link purchase orders to sales orders to maintain traceability and streamline procurement processes.
Open the sales order, go to the "Purchase" tab, and link each purchase order to the relevant sales order line item (transport service).
Procurement Process:
When you confirm the sales order, Odoo will automatically create procurement orders for the linked purchase orders.
Odoo will then create purchase orders based on the procurement rules and quantities specified in the sales order.
Receive Services:
After the suppliers deliver the services, register the receipt of each service in Odoo by confirming the purchase orders.
Invoice Customer:
Once you receive all the services, you can invoice the customer for the transport service included in the sales order.
By following these steps, you can purchase multiple services for a single sales order line item in Odoo. This approach leverages Odoo's procurement and purchase modules to manage the procurement process efficiently. Additionally, it ensures proper traceability and integration between sales and procurement activities.
