Does anyone have this up and working for v7? I have several areas where the warehouse ONLY uses barcode scanner input and none of these areas are working in v7.

The advice from OpenERP is that the scanner needs to set the tab key after scanning and it will auto select the first entry. This is fine, and works. The problem, is that the scanner is too fast for OpenERP and when the tab is actually submitted from the scanner, OpenERP hasn't yet finished searching the database for the serial and so the first entry is still Create.

This is bad news because there is no way to set a delay on the scanner and even so, it wouldn't be consistent on any given day. So how is this supposed to work? If OpenERP can't find the serial faster than the tab key, it will never work.

There really are no more details. The barcode scanning feature in OpenERP is useless on any large scale. It works only for people who need to input 2 things at a time. If you have hundreds of serials to input using a scanner, the OpenERP process is long and tedious and completely ineffective.
