Is it possible to set an approval for a manufacturing order?

My MOs are automatically generated when the sale quote is confirmed, but are not necessarily using the correct products for manufacturing.

I'd like to have MOs approved before being released for production. Is this possible?

You can schedule an Activity. You can even create a custom activity type called "Release Request".

Do this via the Chatter.

Can't i use Odoo Studio to do this? I'm using Odoo Enterprise, and i'm afraid i'll mess things up, if i install an older version app.

This is a good option for adding a PRECEEDING STEP to a Manufacturing Order and the need to approve THAT prior step.
