Multiple companies in Odoo

Question

I have 3 separate companies I'd like to run in Odoo.  Is it best practice to have a separate database for each, or is there a way to run them all in one database with separate G/L accnts?

You can manage three companies within a single database, each having its own chart of accounts. However, if the companies follow entirely different processes, it would be wise to consider using separate databases to better align with their specific workflows.
