You might have noticed that, even if your product has multiple bills of material, when you work with MTO, the manufacturing order generated at the confirmation of your sales order is automatically in Confirmed status, leaving you no option or flexibility to change the bill of material, or other features.

Standard behaviour in Odoo:
In order to have flexibility, the workaround is to create a new bill of material, leaving it blank and putting it at the top of the sequence.
In this way, at confirmation of the sales order, the manufacturing order will be generated in Draft status, as the bill of material is blank, leaving you the option to select the bill of material desired.
Seems like this might work for replenishment rules as well?
I can confirm this works in v17 - thanks
I've tried this solution and it partially work. Unfortunately, upon creating the MO from MTO trigger, we cannot save the bill of material. Therefore, each production is using the BLANK BoM while the components differs from one MO to another.
Are there any solutions so we can choose the BoM flexibly?
