No, you manually set the date using the date picker.

The audit trail logs changes for all periods. When you click the audit button for exceptions in lock dates, it only shows changes during the exception period.

>> How can I adjust an invoice without impacting the closed period?
You cannot adjust a locked invoice. To make changes, you must issue a credit note as you can’t modify invoices once the period is locked or the invoice is secured.

>> Can you apply a lock date for everyone, even if there are draft entries?
Yes, you can set a lock date even if draft entries exist. If a draft entry is confirmed after the lock date, it will automatically adjust to the first day after the lock date.

>> Can stock moves be blocked after the lock date?
Stock moves can be blocked in the stock module, but not through accounting lock dates.

>> Can exceptions be made for specific users, not just for admin?
No, exceptions can only be set for the admin or all users. 

>> What’s the difference between purchase/sales lock date and tax return lock date?

The tax return lock date blocks miscellaneous operations in addition to purchase and sales, while the purchase/sales lock dates affect only vendor and customer transactions.

>> Is there a way to deactivate the hard lock option to avoid accidental activation?
No. The hard lock cannot be deactivated but the rights to set it are restricted to users with sufficient permissions. The "Secure Entries" setting also depends on the user’s rights. Use Access Rights on the relevant Menus to restrict these features to only those who need them.

>> Is there a JBD export for Germany?

Not yet, but it is currently under development and will be available soon.

>> What’s the difference between a lock date and secure entries?
The lock date restricts adding or changing data, but secure entries go further by ensuring no one can alter any past entries. Secure entries also offer an "unalterability" report to verify integrity.

>> Can journal items be updated using mass edits after securing an invoice?
No, once an invoice is secured, journal items cannot be updated through mass editing.

>> What happens if a tax report is closed but an entry was forgotten?

If you create an exception for a forgotten entry after the tax report is closed, you must generate a new tax report to refresh the data and adjust the tax amount.

>> Can the hard lock date be unlocked?

No, once a hard lock date is set, it cannot be unlocked. The system enforces the integrity of the locked period as its name implies.
