Our company is dynamic. 

There are always changes happening not just through M&A or new office creation, but also the integration of a M&A can sometimes take many years.

Building leases and other contracts are often ending after the name of the company has been absorbed and has disappeared as a stand alone entity.  

We want to keep track of the name changes but I don't see any Chatter of Activities on the Companies screen.

Out of the Box: use Odoo Studio to add a custom field for the additional information you want to store.


Customization: probably something a light development effort Automated Action would be able to achieve.


Here the custom field is called "x_name_changes" and has been added to the Form View, so you would get something like this:
