Hello again!

I have a product (it's a simple metal piece). On my website, it has several différent names on several différent categories, but the final object is the same.

So now I have all my products on odoo, and 4 of them need to be "regrouped" on the inventory as 1 product (so I can mange my stock effectively).

Can I create a new product (or take 1 of the 4 product) and indicat to odoo that the 3 others are just "duplicates" of this main one? So that the main 1 only is kept under "surveillance" for restock?

Thank you all for your time!

Even if the "Why tho?" is actually strong with this one, yes, you can do this by using Kit-type products from MRP.

  1. Define Product A as a Good and Track Inventory By Quantity
  2. Define Product B, Product C, etc. as a Good without inventory tracking
    1. Define a Bill of Material (BoM) for Product B with BoM Type set to Kit and add Product A as a Component in the list below
    2. Repeat same for Product C and so on

This would be the result:

Cart:

Resulting Sale Order:

The Delivery:

Product (the one used in the BoM) after selling it - 3 pieces are needed, 1 for the selling that product and the other two needs stem from the Kit-BoMs:

The question is why do you need different SKUs for the same article, that is exactly the same. If there would be a difference, then you could use the variant configuration. But without any difference, one only wonders why so complicated.

But for the webpage, you can always add a small script to show the name based on the group. Contact us, if you need support for this to be done. My team can take care of it.

Good Luck!
