The ir_attachments table has grown quite large (5+ GB). I am currently storing attachments in the database and I know there is an option to store in the file system which works well.
Are there any ill effects to purging attachments from time to time? It seems that OpenERP 7 will just recreate an attachment on demand if it has been deleted. (At least this is the case I've tested with invoices).
Is it safe to delete attachments?
Don't know if it works for Odoo v8.
