Hello,

When publishing video content to Odoo's eLearning platform, users can easily have access to the youtube link and share it freely.

It is not compatible with paid private video content or even free private content.

Is there any solution that does not require external development ?
I have tried with Google Drive links but it is the same...
It looks like it could possible with a paid subscription to Vimeo but not all versions of Odoo support Vimeo link yet...

Thanks you very much.

Julien

It sounds strange that this is an issue, since it is ready to be monetized. Has anyone have an answer?

One workaround that I have found for now is to not use the video content type of the course but rather add a webpage in the course and from within the webpage add a video by typing "/" and selecting "insert video". Then you can insert the video code in there. This block also supports vimeo (which the normal video content type does not) if you are using Odoo 15.

Hello Julien,

You should try the "Restrict embedding" functionnalities of YouTube:

If this doesn't protect your videos from beeing read by direct URL, you should think about Vimeo instead of Youtube.
