Wide Awake Coffee faced complex supply chain challenges, including managing multi-stage manufacturing for both semi-finished and finished goods. They needed a system that could automatically trigger manufacturing orders for coffee bags based on demand, which in turn would trigger production of roasted beans if stock was low. The company also required a solution to handle large green bean shipments that are initially vendor-owned at a port location, with partial transfers to the main warehouse as needed.
Our solutions
The solution implemented for Wide Awake Coffee was a comprehensive supply chain management system within Odoo. This system uses reordering rules and a multi-level bill of materials to automatically trigger manufacturing orders for both roasted coffee beans and final products.
