Hello,

After upgrading our Odoo system to version 18, we encountered a critical issue with the Point of Sale (PoS) module. The issue is that no products are visible on the PoS interface despite all products being properly configured and available in the database.

Here are the key details:

  1. PoS Configuration:
    • Products are correctly assigned to PoS categories.
    • PoS settings and product availability configurations have been reviewed and appear correct.
    • Already ticked the Point of Sale field in product form.
  2. Behavior:
    • The PoS loads, but the product categories show "There are no products in this category."
    • This behavior occurs across all categories and for all users, not just specific products or categories.

Dears,

The issue should be solved by below:

The Tip product was set on one of your company (which is archived), however the PoS was trying to load the product. It was creating an access error preventing products to load.

I changed the company set on the Tip product to "all company" so that each PoS can use it.

If some sessions are on-going on some computers/tablet/mobile, refreshing the page should force to reload the product.

Kind regards,

Mahmood

Check PoS Cache

After an upgrade, the PoS cache may cause outdated or incomplete data to be loaded:

  1. Go to Point of Sale > Sessions.
  2. Open the affected PoS session and click Close if it’s active.
  3. Start a new session to reload the data.
