Hi Gauthier,

the alert date is created exactly for this purpose. You can set the alert date on the Inventory tab of the product datasheet, after activating Expiry dates (feel free to set it a few days earlier than the expiry date - e.g. if it has 1 year of expiry, you set 365 days on the product datasheet, but you can set 355 days for the alert date, thus you'll get a  notification 10 days before the expiry).

You can also manually amend this date on the serial number itself. 

In addition to a notification email, you will be able to filter on the alert dates, too, in the list of the lots/serials.
