I am using Odoo 18 and want to create a Work Order directly from a Helpdesk Ticket. Ideally, when a ticket is received, I want to have an option to generate a work order related to that ticket, either manually through a button or automatically based on specific conditions.

Has anyone implemented this before? Is there a built-in feature for this in Odoo 18, or would it require custom development? If custom development is needed, what would be the best approach (e.g., automated actions, Studio, or a custom module)?

Any guidance or example implementations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Muhammad Zaeem Mohzar,


As per your requirement to create Work Order from Helpdesk Ticket, Odoo is not providing any of this kind of functionality.


And its not feasible to use automated actions or studio because if any kind of issue occurs that can't be traced.


So its feasible to go through custom module approach. In Custom Module you could customise as per your need.
