I tried with various procedures referred in related openerp documents ,but i can't find the right solution .
can anyone help me...

Hi,
- Place the module in addons path.
- Then restart the server.
- Go to openerp ->
Settings -> 'Update Modules List'. - Then module's name is updated in modules list. And install the module.
I did all the steps that you have given, but it is not updating the new module .Any other suggestions

That would be Ubuntu 12.04, right? Cos' as far as I know, 0 is not a valid month number ;-)
