The blog translation issue is likely due to a recent Odoo update, a bug in the website/blog module, editor conflicts, or changes in user access rights. Previously, you could select text and translate it inline, but now this workflow is blocked, forcing manual retyping.

To fix this, try clearing your browser cache, check translation rights, and look for JavaScript errors when using the translate button. If the problem persists, debugging the blog module or reviewing recent updates may be needed.

This stopped working because Odoo recently changed how inline translation works on blog pages. The old Translate button was removed.

Now, to add your English version, you need to:

1. Switch to English on the website.
2. Use Edit Translation from the editor toolbar.
3. Make sure English is enabled under Website → Configuration → Languages.

If it still doesn’t appear, it could be a bug in your current build. As a fallback, you can always add translations manually via Settings → Translations → Application Terms.
