The concept of the Chart hierarchy has been moved to Reports.

You can summarize (roll up) balances by customizing the report.  See https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/9.0/accounting/others/reporting/customize.html for details.

To see the Chart represented as a hierarchy, navigate to Accounting --> Reporting --> Legal Statements --> General Ledger.

The concept of hierarchical CoA has been abandoned in 9.0 and replaced by using tags. The picture you've provided shows a report with drilldown feature. I have the same problem, using the community version to test the General Ledger is not that clear, I'd like to know how to configure parent type accounts or something that can get the total amount.
