Hello,

Fresh install in a demo environment of Odoo 18. No addons installed, no settings changed other than creating warehouse locations and 3 point of sale registers. When closing a POS session, a new one immediately goes into open control. Making it impossible for me to change settings. Is there a new setting that causes this that I can turn off that I'm not seeing, this happens with all 3 registers. Time stamp of POS sessions below.

POS/00016 OPEN : 11/24/2024 23:43:30

                    Close : 11/24/2024 23:48:50

POS/00017 OPEN : 11/24/2024 23:48:50

Thank you for any help.

I have the same problem, and can't find any automatic session control open setting, some settings in the POS are not accessible when the POS status is "Opening Control" has anyone found a solution to this ?

That is just a fluff non-answer. The only thing your "Automatic Session Start" brings up is this very odoo post.

1 Some Odoo POS setups automatically open a new session after closing the previous one. This is often due to misconfigured default behavior or an overlooked automation setting.

2 Check for any setting related to Automatic Session Start or similar behavior. This setting might exist as a toggle or default configuration in Odoo 18. ( Disable if found)

3 If you're testing with multiple browser tabs or devices, one instance might trigger session openings unintentionally

Hey everyone!

This might be happening because of the time settings in UrbanPiper.

Here's how to check your store closing hours:

Go to "PoS" (Point of Sale) /  Clic "Configuration" / Choose "UrbanPiper" / "Store Timings" / Check the time in the "Ending hour" field. If it's set later than when you actually close the register, it might trigger an automatic reopening.

Hope this does the trick!
