Hi William,
Yes it has been removed in Odoo V12.
It has been removed for two reasons: because it used the old Google API and because it was not compatible with the new multi website features.

Odoo should probably stop using it as a marketing tool then.
Agreed - I've notified one of the guys from the website team about it. Nothing more I can do though. :-)
