I need advice on how I setup ODOO for franchising businesses, multi-Company or multi-branch.
- What is the main difference between the two, accounting journals, etc?
- Is there a way to disable the sell function of the product to all companies except the primary? the object is to make the primary company the vendor that sells the products while other companies will just purchase the items.
Hi Jacky - as far as I know, the main difference is that branches have the same chart of accounts as the parent company. I haven't used it, so maybe someone else can add their experience with it.
It looks like company vs branch are the same. So my question is when do you consider creating a company or branch, what is the consideration that needs to be taken note? Is it because of accounting records per say or anything else?
