What is fiscal position?

Fiscal positions allow the creation of rules to adapt the taxes and accounts used for a transaction automatically.

Tax and Fiscal position Setting
  1. The workflow below uses the example from the video above.
  2. Accounting application -> Configuration -> Fiscal position
    Create a fiscal position 9% and another one 9% + 15%
  3. Accounting application -> Configuration -> Taxes
    Create the sales tax 9% and select the fiscal position 9%. Replace 15%
  4. Accounting application -> Configuration -> Taxes
    Create a 'group of tax' that has 9% and 15% sales tax. Select the fiscal position 9% +15% and replace domestic fiscal position.

    (Note that 15% sales tax appear by default and it is link to domestic fiscal position)
Customer setting
  1. Accounting application -> Customer -> Customers -> Open Deco addicts -> Sales & Purchase tab -> Fiscal position: Select 9%

  2. Accounting application -> Customer -> Customers -> Open Azure interior -> Sales & Purchase tab -> Fiscal position: Select 9% +15%
Product setting
  1. Accounting application -> Customer -> Products -> Open Acoustic Bloc Screens -> See the sales tax: 15% with sales price $295


Workflow & Result
  1. Sales application -> New -> Select customer: Deco Addict -> Select product: Acoustic Bloc Screens -> See the price $295 (auto populated) and the tax: 9% (Odoo automatically map the tax from 15% to 9%)

2. Sales application -> New -> Select customer: Azure interior-> Select product: Acoustic Bloc Screens -> See the price $295 (auto populated) and the tax: 9%+15% (Odoo automatically map the tax from 15%)
