I am being asked if the "fake" placeholder text can be removed.
You can see on the Customer Invoice screen, that in place of real records, there are samples / placeholders:

The placeholder / sample text is added to a list with this tag:
sample="1"
So you can override and remove this:
<tree position="attributes">
<attribute name="sample"></attribute>
</tree>
Instead of this (example showing Purchase Orders):
