Is there a way to setup recurring monthly vendor bills and/or journal entries in Odoo? 

I.E. We pay interest to Mr. *Davis each month. I would like a bill to be automatically generated each month, so this will be on my radar to pay vs. having to manually remember and enter the bill each month.

(Using Odoo 12.0+e (Enterprise Edition))

This is now a feature of Odoo 16, on the Other Info tab of the transaction:

Hi - I have the Auto-post line on the Other Info tab but it is set to No and is not selectable. What do I need to do in order to enable this option? Thanks.

You can only change the Auto-post fields on a Vendor Bill BEFORE the Bill is posted. You either need to click RESET TO DRAFT so you can change the fields (then click CONFIRM) or wait until you enter the next Vendor Bill and change the fields BEFORE clicking CONFIRM.

Hi Ray, how about if we want to create the Vendor Bill monthly in a draft status?

Use case: electricity bills, they come every month so I want an automated creation, but it is required to manually adjust the amount every month before posting.

It seems that the Auto Post Monthly is a misleading name, but I get a behavior suitable for me:
- When I post the invoice of September, then a draft invoice for October is automatically created.

However, a strange behavior is that if I cancel and post again the invoice of September, then a second invoice for October is generated :/
I am not sure if this is the best thing to do, especially for Vendor Bills that you don't want to pay twice!

Looks like that is for invoicing (for customers). I am looking for recurring bills (for vendors).

Good day,

on your purchase order on the other information tab, you can set a scheduled dateYou can create on a purchase order and duplicate and adjust the scheduled date to next month and do this for all orders you want to plan ahead.

You can also set an activity in the chatter as a reminder, to create a new one.

regarding the journal post, this will be made based on validating steps in your process, so this you do not have to automate.

If you order products based on the stock than you can set a minimum value what will trigger to order new products
