A integration with PoS "restaurant" was introduced in the Appointments module (enterprise module) in v17 for this and doesn't seems to have been backported to previous versions. But it doesn't hurt to open a ticket at odoo.com/help to ask if this "basic" requirement will be backported to previous versions and if not, an upgrade to v17 would be necessary.
