Skive Kommune
Skive Municipality (Skive Kommune) is located in the Mid Jutland Region, part of the larger Jutland Peninsula in northwest Denmark. It was established on January 1, 2007, through a municipal reform, merging the former Skive, Sallingsund, Spøttrup, and Sundsøre municipalities. Skive is known for its coastal tourist resort at the mouth of the Karup River and the Skive Fjord. The municipality covers an area of 688.09 km² and has a population of 45,069 as of 2023.
