If i have an item like a laptop and unbuild the parts into several locations.
Laptop - 1 pc taken from WH/Stock/X1
Parts:
Keyboard - 1 pc store to WH/Stock/A1
Motherboard 1 pc store to WH/Stock/A2
etc.
I need the user to be able to specify where to store the parts.
If you would always store to the same location, you could define putaway rules.
If you wish to create an inventory operation each time, a possible way could be to create a new location and have a push rule trigger an internal transfer operation. This location can be selected as the destination location while creating the unbuild order.
How about getting from different locations? Letting Odoo recommend the location to source from.
Yes, the source as well as destination can be provided for a unbuild order.
If this option isn’t available, you would need to enable storage locations option from settings > inventory > warehouse section
