I have read some things on the internet which seem to suggest that it was possible to create subprojects (projects within projects) in older versions of OpenERP, but is it possible in Odoo V8? If so, how does one do it?

In the "Other information" tab you have the "parent_id" column, just chose the proper project it belongs to.
