Hi All,

Is the Default Community Accounting Feature Removed From Odoo 12 ?

It Showing Upgrade Button When We Click on Accounting Module Why ?

Hi,

Accounting reports, Assets and Budget is removed from the Odoo 12 Community Edition, Still you will get a good accounting tool in the enterprise edition.

If you install the Invoicing app you have the basic accounting functionality for any user with "Show Full Accounting Features" selected (under Technical Settings, need to enable debug mode).   But it is quite basic.

Which version you are using?Iin odoo 12 there is no more Accounting feature only Customer Invoice and Vendor Bill Creation ,nothing more..

Other accounting transactions are still available in Odoo 12 CE (if you select "Full Accounting Features"), but the pdf reports have been removed.

As standard, these are available:

Miscellaneous Operations

Stock Journal

Exchange Difference

Bank

Cash

​Cash Basis Tax Journal

Hi,

Yes the accounting app has moved to enterprise (most features where already enterprise only in older versions than V12 anyways). The modules account_asset and account_budget have moved to enterprise in V12 too now.

That means in near Future all the Apps should be move to EE.

Hello,

While the answer of Yenthe is correct, I want to inform you that when you search for "Accounting" under apps you will be able to find a lot of the missing functionality. For example the "Accounting Dashboard" is available, also the "Bank statement Import" or the "Reports" are available as a community app ;)

Correct, but nothing related to core accounting such as account_asset which basically handles the detailed accounting :)

@Yenthe: account_asset is not "core accounting", it is a special ledger for asset depreciation, which can also be posted manually. As far as I understood, the "core accounting" features are still available, but almost all reports have been deleted.

Interesting applications are increasingly being developed by the "enterprise" version and disappearing from the community (like recurring invoice has turned into "Subscription", accounting is disappearing with each version, project issues to "Helpdesk", etc....) Why???

Recurring invoice functionality is still available in OCA. The module called "contract" for that.
