From the Sales App Settings, we can locate the PDF Quote Builder, which can help us create customizable sales quotations.

We can configure Header pages (pages before the quotation) and Footer pages (pages after the quotation).

If we want to make it more dynamic (example: adding automatically the sale order number or the client’s name to the PDF), we have to add specific fields to the PDF.

We can do it by using LibreOffice, which is a free software.

Open your PDF with LibreOffice:

From Insert > Form Control, add a Text Box:

Right click on the Text Box > Control Properties and in "Name" add the technical name of the corresponding Odoo field.

From this window, you can also edit the text box and font style.

Example: adding the field for client’s name.

Now you can export it as PDF and upload it in the settings for general use (or in quotation templates for specific use)

Now create a sale order and download the PDF Quote:

Now we have dynamic PDF’s!

Tip: Enable the developer mode to look for the technical names of Odoo Fields.
