Since you installed Odoo Enterprise using a .deb package, upgrading “like Git” isn’t directly possible because .deb packages are managed through the system’s package manager rather than version control. To upgrade with the .deb, you would download the latest Odoo Enterprise .deb file, stop the Odoo service, run sudo dpkg -i <package> to install the new version, fix any dependencies with sudo apt --fix-broken install, and then restart the service.

However, if you want Git-style control and easier updates in the future, it’s better to switch to a Git-based installation. This involves cloning the Odoo Enterprise repository (and optionally the Community repository) from GitHub, setting up a Python virtual environment, installing the required dependencies, and running Odoo directly from the cloned code. Later upgrades are as simple as running git pull to fetch the latest changes. This approach allows you to manage updates more flexibly and is especially useful if you frequently modify modules or want to stay on the latest commits without waiting for new .deb releases.
