Things to consider: 

At the moment there is not a connection for the app rent and project but the new functionality of topbar, we can replicate the behavior with stock movements 

This wont create entries on the rental schedule for planning purpose but since they will be taken out of inventory there wont be an issue for double booking 

1. We must configure the product as a rental, so when we do reports we can quickly identify it. Also turn the inventory tracking on 

2. Once you created a service and sold it, a project will be generated, we could do a sale order form the top bar but if this are included in a service then we wouldnt sell them again 

3. Because of that, we must do a inventory movement, from the top bar so it will be visible from this project, we select stock movement

4. We create a new movement with the delivery address of the contact we are lending this to, and the delivery type being a delivery order, we could aslo create an operation type an a location specific for this flow, but in terms of simplicity we can utilce the delivery Orders operation as is. The we select the product that will be used in this proyect and we validate de delivery. 

This wont be available for rental anymore. As stated before, this wont affect the scheduling but we can use other of the functionalities of odoo to have an idea of return dates. 

We schedule the date of the return and when is time we can just click on the return and verify that everything we got back is in the expected conditions and validate the re entry on inventory 

This way we can have tracking of rentals for projects 

We can also see for reporting and to know what are all the products that are on rental at the moment. Go to Inventory- reporting- locations and group by location, add filter c

This way we can see everything that is on a partner location and is also a rental article.
