I have a client that has a total of 450 employees, at the time of
generating the payroll for all employees (at the same time) the process takes 15 to 40
minutes to complete.
Is there any way to shorten this time?

i have the same issue
but with 5000 employee
and i managed to tune the database and odoo config to handle this amount using some custom code and odoo queue job
