I'd like to know if there are plans to make the BI module available for OpenERP 7.0 or 8.0? If not, what would be the best alternative to use? Can you give me recommendations?

BI features have been added in v7-SaaS3 on graph views. In order to test it, you can go to http://runbot.openerp.com/ and connect to the saas-3 branch with login/password: admin/admin. Once inside, go to Sales > Opportunities and switch to graph view. You can then design a BI cube and display it as different graphs.
